Revere School District consists of a Revere Lil’ Raiders Preschool, Revere Elementary, and a Revere Jr.-Sr. High. The total district enrollment is approximately 140 students. Revere serves the towns of Ovid and Sedgwick which are just 7 miles apart, but draws many students from outside the district. In 2014 the district received a $14 million BEST grant to complete an addition and renovation to bring our beautiful historic campus into the 21st century.
Along with the structural and security improvements, our classroom and learning technology is cutting edge with classrooms using the 1:1 education style (one device for every student). Students get the best of both computer worlds with Apple and PC technology. A wide range of devices from Chrome Books to MAC Books and iPads are used for hands-on learning.
The district has a principal and superintendent who work with 21 certified employees and 13 classified employees. Every employee is an integral part of the Revere education family.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a number of state championship-level athletic programs as part of the Sedgwick County Cougar Athletic Coop, which includes our neighboring school district in Julesburg. Beyond athletics, students can participate in FFA, FBLA, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Lego Robotics. Elementary students are given several annual field trips to explore learning outside our small town in the corner of Colorado.
Students demonstrate proficiency in academic areas through NWEA testing as well as ACT, PSAT, ASVAB, and Accuplacer tests. We are able to offer college-level courses through Revere teachers right here on campus, but also give students the option to select pathways through Colorado Digital Solutions, eDynamic Learning, and CCConline college courses.
